ABOUT

Have you ever wondered why so many children want to 'grow up' and so many adults want to 'go back'? Did you, or do you, feel powerless as a child? Do you relate a bit too hard to childhood trauma jokes and memes? :,/

Children are a marginalised community. Children are discriminated against and excluded, abused and oppressed. Everyone has experienced it, including you.

We rarely acknowledge the existance of this systemic violence, let alone how it functions and who it affects. We must collectively confront and challenge the way we, and wider society, treat young people. In this workshop, you will have the unique opportunity to learn about ‘anti-child ageism’ (coined by me, Aiyana Goodfellow).

In this workshop, participants will...

  • be introduced to the social system of 'anti-child ageism'
  • understand different ways in which young people are marginalised
  • contextualise anti-child ageism relationship to other forms of oppression
  • receive a 20% off voucher for my upcoming two-part workshop

This workshop is part of Why You Hate Kids 101, a introductory course exploring anti-child ageism and uses theories I outline in my second published book INNOCENCE & CORRUPTION: An abolitionist understanding of youth oppression.
